Mazzoco Winery

Mazzocco Sonoma is nestled in the rolling hills of Sonoma County, perched on a saddle between the acclaimed valleys of Dry Creek and Alexander. In 2005, Mazzocco was brought into the Wilson family, who were eager to add the Zinfandel vines that now surround the tasting room.

Mazzocco is renowned for single-vineyard designates – robust, sumptuous Zinfandels. These wines are remarkably individual in nature – a characteristic shared by the award-winning Chardonnay, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon.

“It’s the fruit,” confesses winemaker Antoine Favero. Indeed, Mazzocco draws from some of the most breathtaking mountain vineyards in Sonoma County. It’s the fruit combined with history and tradition, seasoned with a little innovation, that makes Mazzocco one of the most distinctive and sought-after brands in California.

J Rochioli

The Rochioli Vineyard is situated in a very diverse part of the Russian River Valley. Joe Jr. and Tom both believe key factors in growing superb grapes come from the diversity in the soil types, the vineyards’ proximity to the ocean, as well as the contours of the valley, allowing for morning fog and cool evening breezes.

Today, the vineyard is divided into several unique blocks, each planted with numerous clones. In the 1990s, Rochioli Winery released wines from five blocks, each displaying distinct characteristics. At that point the Rochioli’s established the Russian River Valley as a petite Côte-d’Or with the ability to produce terroir-driven wines.

Joe and Tom continue to tend to the vineyards every day, the same way they always have. Armed with an intimate knowledge of the soil, the climate and grapes, they have been successful as growers, and as winemakers of rich and elegant wines.

Bricoleur Vineyards

Bricoleur Vineyards resides in the Russian River Valley appellation, the geographical heart of Sonoma County. Some of wine country’s best known and most beloved varietals earned their reputation here. This appellation set the standard for California—and arguably New World—Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

The Russian River Valley’s welcoming climate is influenced by frequent cooling fog from the Pacific Ocean, just a few miles to the west. This marine layer usually arrives in the evenings, dropping temperatures as much as 40 degrees before retreating to the ocean the following morning. This natural air conditioning allows the grapes to develop a mature, full flavor over an extended growing season. Such a pronounced diurnal shift leads to dynamic, highly sought-after fruit.

Bricoleur Vineyards consists of 12-year-old vines spanning 20.4 acres. Pinot Noir accounts for 13 acres while the remaining 7.4 acres are devoted to Chardonnay. Five different clones of Pinot Noir call our estate home (115, 459, 777, Calera and Swan), allowing our winemaker to assemble distinctive and detailed blends. The Chardonnay is a combination of the Wente and Musqué clones. The former was brought to Napa from Burgundy by a German immigrant more than a century ago while the latter is known to produce intoxicating aromatics.

In 1991, Spain’s oldest winemaking family, Raventós Codorníu, ventured to a new world: a sea-facing hillside in the Napa Valley, with rocky soils and a favorable coastal climate. It was here in Los Carneros, that we planted new roots, building upon a 460-year winemaking legacy to create the next generation of Estate Grown, artisan wines.
We named it Artesa.
